Crime Prevention & Licensing Compliance Surveys in Cambridgeshire

Crime prevention

As part of my standard services, I offer comprehensive crime prevention advice. I will conduct a survey on your venue and advise you the best manner in which to protect your property, your assets and your staff against crime. I will cover topics such as dealing with aggressive or abusive customers, shoplifters, CCTV points, drug awareness, fake ID and crime scene preservation. This is charged at my standard consultation fee rate.

Licence compliance check

I will attend your venue and after reviewing your licence, will check to see if staff are fully understanding of the complexities of the licence. I will also check to see if the venue is promoting the four licensing objectives, which are:

• Prevention of Crime and Disorder
• Public Safety
• Prevention of Public Nuisance
• Protection of Children from Harm

If any issues are found, I will advise a strategy going forward, and assist in implementing any new measures needed to satisfy the objectives. This is charged at my standard consultation fee rate.

Premises survey

This type of survey is usually reserved for venues that are subject to the review process, but can also be used as proof of good practice.

I will attend the venue and conduct a full visual review of the premises from outside and take note of the practices employed by staff. I will then enter the venue and conduct the same from within. I will ask questions to staff members in relation to the premises licence and the licensing objectives to ensure compliance. I will then conduct a full compliance check as above.

I will then prepare a report into my findings, detailing where the venue excels. If need be, where the venue fails, I will advise changes that I believe need to be made to the venue going forward. This is charged at my standard consultation fee rate.
