Salon & Barber Premises Licences in Cambridgeshire

Salon licences

Following numerous calls recently from barbers and hair salons wishing to obtain premises licences has led to me producing this page and offer. I've had several calls and emails in recent weeks from salon owners and barbers asking if they can offer clients drinks while they receive treatment.

The answer is yes, but you do need a premises licence, and there is no let-up in the law just because you are giving them in a complimentary manner.

Costs

For many, as this is being offered as 'complimentary' when paying for a service, they have considered the cost implications of obtaining a premises licence too great.

There's a fee to the local authority, a fee to advertise the application in a local paper, the cost implications of drawing up a floor plan suitable for the licensing act and ensuring someone has completed a personal licence course to enable them to be the Designated Premises Supervisor, the DPS. In many situations this takes even the most basic costs well over £1,000.

Floor plans and legal notices

If you have a floor plan and I can adapt it to fit the required criteria, I shall include it in the fee.

If a new plan needs to be drawn, providing you supply the details, I will draw a new plan for you for just £300 (usually fees start at £400).

All you need to pay for additionally is the legal notice fee, for which I will obtain a quote before you agree to proceed.
